About Us
Founded in May 2003, The German Place is known for revolutionizing the way people eat and enjoy German food. We had a physical location for years by Magic Mountain in Newhall, but now just serving you here in Gardnerville Ranchos .
We received The Silver Scepter for Ethnic Foods from the California Restaurant Association, we received two Thumbs up from Elmer Dills, and made the top 10 from the LA Times for multiple years.

Everything was so amazing . We had the rouladen,spatzle, red cabbage, dill german potato salad, and chicken schnitzel and there was not a bite left between our family of four. Also got a pretzel and Landjaegers and those were amazing! Worth every penny!

The food was amazing! The sauerkraut and the red cabbage was the best I’ve had in a long time or maybe ever. The warm potato salad was also tasty and the schnitzel was delicious! The pretzel was large and went great with mustard and a beer! Thank you so much for the memories your food brought back, so comforting and delicious! I will definitely be ordering again.

It was delicious. We both loved the sauerkraut . I liked that my currywurst came with an assortment of sausage pieces. Also , the first time in a long time my husband said his meal was worth what he paid for it. I can’t wait to try the rouladen and red cabbage next time. ( which is funny because my aunt wrote a letter to my parents very upset about five year old me because I would not eat her German red cabbage)
